Several changes have been made compared to the classic CFX, one of which is the change in the charging port, which previously used micro-USB, and now Boundless has equipped the vaporizer with a USB-C port, significantly facilitating the device’s transport and charging. Another feature is its ease of use, about which more later, a clear display, and a magnetic swivel mouthpiece.

Heating Chamber of the Boundless CFX+ 2023

At the heart of the Boundless CFX+ vaporizer is primarily its chamber and heating system. While the CFX model featured a hybrid and stainless steel chamber, this one is different. Boundless CFX+ has a ceramic chamber (which I love), and a conduction heating system, which is a top heating system in vaporizers. The herb is heated perfectly, doesn’t burn at all, doesn’t scorch from the chamber, and most importantly, is tasty thanks to the ceramic surface.

The chamber heats up in about 30 seconds, which is slightly longer than its predecessor, but that’s because it uses a conduction heating system exclusively. It’s also worth mentioning the chamber capacity, which is substantial, but Boundless has accustomed us to that. The vaporizer has a chamber that can fit up to 0.5 grams of herb and importantly! It produces the same amount of vapor at 0.1 gram as at 0.5 grams. Simply, 0.5 grams lasts for a longer session.

Temperature Control and Usage

In this model, we can notice that temperature control ranges from 121-221 degrees Celsius. This is a narrower range than in the CFX model but still sufficient for every user. Importantly, the vaporizer can be set to any temperature, or use 4 predefined levels: 171, 188, 204, and 220 degrees.

The vaporizer also allows setting a session timer; 2,4,6, or 8 minutes, which gives more control over the device.

In terms of usage, it is less intuitive than the CFX vaporizer, but CFX+ is still an easy-to-control device. It has a clear OLED screen and two buttons used for powering the device and controlling temperature.

Battery of the Boundless CFX+ 2023

The Boundless CFX+ 2023 vaporizer has a 2500 mAh battery, translating into a long operating time of up to 80 minutes, depending on the user’s needs and usage. Charging takes about an hour with a fast charger, using a USB-C cable. Boundless CFX+ features an Auto-off program that turns off the device after a period of inactivity, saving battery life.

It’s also worth mentioning the built-in herb mixing tool, which is very useful during sessions to sift some herbs, extracting more flavor and larger vapor clouds.
